Detailed trip itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi, Nairobi Serena Hotel (Bed & Breakfast)

Met on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our representative and transfer to Nairobi Serena Hotel where you have been booked on a bed and breakfast basis for the night.

Day 2: Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Mara Serena Safari Lodge (Fullboard)

Breakfast in the hotel and a pre-safari briefing then you would be transferred to Wilson Airport to catch up flight bound to Masai Mara National Reserve where you will arrive in Mara Serena Airstrip after forty five minutes and be met by a jovial Mara Serana Safari Lodge members of staff and after a welcome cold drink you proceed to the lodge for a rest until time for lunch in the lodge at 12:30.

The entire afternoon from 15:30 to 18:30 would be spend in the expansive Mara ecosystem watching resident animals. For those who would love to encounter The Great Migration is the biggest mammal trek in the world follows the rains. The herds travel 800 kilometers clockwise in a circle through the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystems in search of greener, mineral rich pastures and water. Though the migration into Masai Mara typically starts in July and ends late September, the exact dates around this period are not predictable until the first large wildebeest herds actually gather at the northern edge of Serengeti as they near the Mara. These initial herds are sometimes known to gather at a spot for days on end without crossing over to the Mara, so when exactly the final leg of the movement starts is difficult to predict

Day 3: Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Mara Serena Safari Lodge (Fullboard)

This day would start at 06:00 for tea or coffee and snacks then depart early for morning game drive leaving the lodge at 06:30 with packed lunch to be consumed in designated place in the wilderness of Masai Mara National Reserve at 08:00 then carry on with game drive until time for lunch in the lodge at 13:00. In the afternoon from 15:30 would be another time for game viewing in the expansive Mara ecosystem up to 18:30 time for a short rest in the lodge then dinner and overnight.

Days 4: Amboseli National Park, Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge (Fullboard)

As usual the day would start with tea or coffee and a snack them morning game drive until time for full breakfast in the lodge at 08:00 then depart to the airstrip to catch up flight to Amboseli National Park where you would arrive after one and half an hours where you would be received by Serena Hotels staff with cold drink and very cheerful face and be transferred the lodge for a rest until lunch time.

In the afternoon from 15:30 would be the time for game viewing from the bulk of Mount Kilimajara up to 18:30 time for a short a rest in the lodge then dinner and overnight. Set against the magnificent backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, the glittering Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge enjoys a uniquely privileged position at the heart of this world-famous national park. Shaded by palm trees, is a free-form swimming pool; to either side of which stretch the rooms.

Day 5: Amboseli National Park, Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge (Fullboard)

This day you would wake up at 06:00 and by 06:30 you would have done with tea or coffee and a snacks and be at the reception to depart for early morning game drive until time for full breakfast at 08:00. There shall be a short rest in the lodge until at 10:00 when you would go for another game drive until time for lunch in the lodge at 13:00.

At 15:30 enjoy afternoon game-viewing drives in the park. Amboseli is one of the most popular destinations for safari-goers to Kenya, but it also offers some spectacular views of the highest free-standing mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro. Elephant are a dominant presence in Amboseli; they are tracked almost constantly by researchers thus; the reason they have largely escaped the ravages of 1980s poaching. Here, you are able to spot some of the older “tuskers” lumbering almost delicately before the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. At 18:30 drive back to the lodge in time to refreshment, dinner and overnight.

Days 6-8: Mombasa, Serena Beach Resort & Spa (Halfboard)

Early morning tea or coffee and a snack at 06:00 then depart for morning game drive coming back 08:00 for full breakfast in the lodge. Flight are only available in the afternoon and so you would remain in the lodge from 08:00 until lunch time and you shall be transferred to the airstrip to catch up flight to Mombasa City at 15:00 where you would be met and taken to Mombasa Serena Hotel and Spa for the next three nights.

Day 9: Fly Nairobi

Depending on your flight time you would have sumptuous breakfast then at 10:00 transfer to the Moi International Airport Mombasa to catch up flight to the next destination.

End of the safari.

Easter & Christmas Surcharges
A surcharge would be charged per person per night on Good Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Easter Monday and on 24th 25th, 26th, 31st December and 1st January. The Surcharge would be confirmed at the time of booking for clarity purposes.
