WILDLIFE MIGRATION

Wildlife Migration in Tanzania and Kenya

The Serengeti Ecosystem and the Wildebeests (white-bearded gnus) and Burchell's Zebras. The wildebeest calve on the Serengeti Plains from January to March. They generally depart the Serengeti in May, where they head east and north for Lake Victoria and the Maasai Mara, crossing the Mara River around July. They leave the Mara in October-December.

Itinerary:
As conducted from / to Arusha Airport

DAY 01, 02 & 03: MAHALE MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK / KATAVI NATIONAL PARK
On arrival at Arusha Airport you will be met by a CC Africa representative who will assist you in boarding your shared charter flight to Mahale or Ikuu Airstrip (Katavi). Shared charters depart at 08:00 on a Monday and Thursday. On arrival at the airstrip you will be transferred to the camp of your choice

Spend three nights at Greystoke Camp. Accommodation is in a canvas and wood structure under thatch. Your stay is on a full board basis including scheduled activities and park fees

Activities include chimpanzee tracking, forest walks, dhow trips on Lake Tanganyika, snorkelling and fishing

Alternatively
Spend three nights at Chada Camp. Accommodation is in a safari tent. Your stay is on a full board basis including scheduled activities and park fees

Activities include game-drives and guided walking safaris

Day 04: Arusha
Day at leisure, until your transfer to the airstrip where you board your shared charter to Arusha. Shared charters depart at 12:20 from Ikuu Airstrip and 13:40 from Mahale Airstrip arriving at 18:30 in Arusha. On arrival our services end
