DAY 1. MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE (GOVERNORS' CAMP, 4*)
You will be transferred from your hotel to the airport for flight to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. On your arrival at the Masai Mara Game Reserve airstrip after a 2-hour flight, 4x4-landcruiser will pick you to the Governors' Camp.

Governors Camp secretes, intimate, secluded, top of the rage, original, exclusive, luxury, beauty and quiet.

DAY 2. MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE (GOVERNORS' CAMP, 4*)
Early morning tea or coffee followed by early morning game drive returning later for breakfast by a short rest then another mid morning game drive until time for lunch in the camp.

After a rest an afternoon game drive until in the evening. In the evening, entertainment of Masai dance and talks on Masai culture will follow in the lounge (on specific days), dinner and overnight.

DAY 3. FLY BACK TO KENYA COAST.
Early morning tea or coffee followed by early morning game drive returning later for breakfast then mid-morning game drive until time for lunch.

After lunch transfer to the airstrip for flight to Kenya coast arriving at about 1600 hours then be transferred to your hotel.

Governors' Camp has been a pioneer of safaris in Africa for 30 years. Since the first luxury camp was established on the site once reserved for Kenya's colonial Governors , Governors' have kept the name and the best of the traditions of those times. Here, time is gauged by sunrise and sunset, and unchanged vistas stretch far into the distance, while elephant, hippo and warthog stroll close to your tent. Days are spent exploring the herds which roam free and the predators which stalk them, evenings around the camp fire, and gourmet dinners by candle-light, before retiring to a comfortable bed in your spacious and luxurious tent to the sounds of the African night. No electricity, no cell-phones, and no tethering to the hectic rush of life. All this will take you to the simple rhythms of nature.

Governors' camps are situated in the best game viewing areas in Africa, amongst some of its most spectacular scenery. The Masai Mara Game Reserve is invaded annually by the Great Migration, when 2 million wildebeest and zebra com in search of lush grazing, and our corner of the Mara has repeatedly been selected by the BBC as the very best area for filming their Big Cat Diary series, showing daily life and drama of our resident lions, cheetah and leopard. There are no fences around our camps. From your verandah the panorama of wildlife will unfold, the elephant and warthog may wander through camp or hippo graze on the lush lawns.

We take you to view the animals at close range from our comfortable 4-wheel-drive vehicles, on a walking safari for a closer encounter with nature, or a dawn drift by hot-air balloon over the winding river.

Governors' Camp nestles in the forest on a site originally reserved exclusively for the colonial Governors of Kenya. Half the tents look out over the rolling golden grasslands of Africa's great plains, with views of herds of elephant, zebra and gazelle; the rest line the banks of the Mara River. The decked bar is right on the water's edge, the perfect spot to watch the wallowing hippos or a crocodile guarding its eggs. It is situated in the heart of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. There is a honeymoon suite, double and twin tents are also available.
