WILDLIFE MIGRATION

Wildlife Migration in Tanzania and Kenya

The Serengeti Ecosystem and the Wildebeests (white-bearded gnus) and Burchell's Zebras. The wildebeest calve on the Serengeti Plains from January to March. They generally depart the Serengeti in May, where they head east and north for Lake Victoria and the Maasai Mara, crossing the Mara River around July. They leave the Mara in October-December.

DAY 1. TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK & TAITA HILLS SANCTUARY, SALT LICK LODGE, 4*, MEAL PLAN IS FULL BOARD.
Drive to Tsavo East National Park for game drive until lunch time at Voi Safari Lodge which is built on a climb enabling a good savannah view from the lodge.

Afternoon game drive then leave to Taita Hills Game Sanctuary managed by Hilton Hotels.
Game drive, dinner and overnight at Salt Lick Safari Lodge built on stilts overlooking floodlit waterhole and saltlicks. A very good chance of viewing game from the rooms at night.

The emphasis is on making as little noise as possible so as not to scare away the animals. For this reason, children under 7 years are not allowed at Salt Lick Lodge.

DAY 2. COASTAL HOTEL.
Morning game drive in this sanctuary with plenty of wild cats, breakfast then further game drive until lunch. Return to your coastal hotel arriving in time for dinner.

Road distance covered from Diani Beach to Salt Lick is approximately 255 kilometres.

EASTER SURCHARGE AND CHRISTMAS SURCHARGE
