WILDLIFE MIGRATION

Wildlife Migration in Tanzania and Kenya

The Serengeti Ecosystem and the Wildebeests (white-bearded gnus) and Burchell's Zebras. The wildebeest calve on the Serengeti Plains from January to March. They generally depart the Serengeti in May, where they head east and north for Lake Victoria and the Maasai Mara, crossing the Mara River around July. They leave the Mara in October-December.

DAY 1. MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE, GOVERNORS II MORAN LUXURY CAMP 5*, MEAL IS FULL BOARD
You will be transferred from your hotel to the airport for flight to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. On your arrival at the Masai Mara Game Reserve airstrip after a 2-hour flight, 4 x 4 landcruiser will pick you to the II Moran Camp.

Lunch will follow then after a rest an afternoon game drive until in the evening. In the evening, entertainment of Masai dance and talks on Masai culture will follow in the lounge (on specific days), dinner and overnight.

DAY 2. MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE, GOVERNORS II MORAN LUXURY CAMP 5*, MEAL IS FULL BOARD
Early morning tea or coffee followed by early morning game drive returning later for breakfast then a rest until time for lunch in the camp.

In the afternoon another game drive until in the evening. Entertainment of Masai dance and talks on Masai culture will follow in the lounge (on specific days) the dinner and overnight.

DAY 3. FLY BACK TO KENYA COAST OR NAIROBI.
Early morning tea or coffee followed by early morning game drive returning later for breakfast then mid-morning game drive until time for lunch.

After lunch transfer to the airstrip for flight to Kenya coast arriving at about 1600 hours then be transferred to your hotel.

THE PRICE INCLUDES:

  • Return flights to Masai Mara Game Reserve

  • Full board accommodation

  • All park fees,

  • 3 game drives per day in a 4 x 4 standard land rover of 4 to 6 clients per vehicle

  • 1 game walk except from 1st April to 31st March

  • All soft drinks, beers and house wine together with applicable VAT thereon

  • Visit to the local Masai Villages (Manyattas), visit to the local school

  • Laundry services

  • All our transport has insurance plus we would offer rescue and evacuation by air and road within East Africa only. The rescue and evacuation by air and road is for all Top Africa Safaris ltd clients. The cover does not include in hospital bills overseas cover. The cover is only for residents and non-residents.     A surcharge would be charged per person per night on Good Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Easter Monday and on 24th 25th, 26th, 31st December and 1st January. THE SUPPLEMENT WOULD BE CONFIRMED AT THE TIME OF BOOKING FOR CLARITY REASONS.

    ABOUT GOVERNORS ILMORAN LUXURY CAMP
    THE SAFARI THAT HAS IT ALL     The camp for those who want that extra bit of luxury. We've kept Governors' Ilmoran Camp as small as possible, with added touches that make this the top of the range safari.
    We've recreated the atmosphere of the original hunting camps. Hidden under ancient trees, deep in the forest, are just 10 tents. They line the winding banks of the Mara River.
    You'll be the personal guest of our manager, who'll look after all your needs. Game drives and game walks are included in the rate and complimentary wine is served with dinner.
    Each spacious tent has a very private location and is furnished to a superior standard. Stunning beds are handmade from specially selected wood taken from ancient olive trees. Large en-suite bathrooms have flush toilets, a lovely big shower with piping-hot water, and a Victorian bath where you can soap the day's dust away.
    Every tent has an extended veranda. They're designed so you can take dinner in private at your tent if you wish. Or just relax and enjoy the sights and sounds. Birds and butterflies abound, elephant wander through the camp, at night leopard call nearby.
    During the day meals are served under the giant trees. There's fresh fruits, cereals and hot-baked breads together with a cooked breakfast barbecued before your eyes. For lunch a buffet that'll satisfy the hungriest appetites.
    Deep in the bush, our cordon-bleu dinners by candlelight are a truly unforgettable experience. Nowhere else can you get so far from civilisation, yet stay in such style.
