WILDLIFE MIGRATION

Wildlife Migration in Tanzania and Kenya

The Serengeti Ecosystem and the Wildebeests (white-bearded gnus) and Burchell's Zebras. The wildebeest calve on the Serengeti Plains from January to March. They generally depart the Serengeti in May, where they head east and north for Lake Victoria and the Maasai Mara, crossing the Mara River around July. They leave the Mara in October-December.

DAY 1. 3 DAYS MERU NATIONAL PARK OVERNIGHT AT ELSA'S KOPJE PRIVATE LUXURY SAFARI HOUSE 5*, MEAL IS FULL BOARD.
You will be transferred from your hotel to the airport for flight to the Meru National Park. On your arrival at the airstrip after a 45 minutes flight, 4 x 4 land rover will pick you to the Elsa's Kopje Private Luxury Safari House

Lunch will follow then after a rest an afternoon game drive until in the evening time for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2. DAYS MERU NATIONAL PARK OVERNIGHT AT ELSA'S KOPJE PRIVATE LUXURY SAFARI HOUSE 5*, MEAL IS FULL BOARD Early morning tea or coffee followed by early morning game drive returning later for breakfast then a rest until time for lunch in the lodge.

In the afternoon another game drive until in the evening time for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3. FLY BACK TO KENYA COAST OR NAIROBI.
Early morning tea or coffee followed by early morning game drive returning later for breakfast then mid-morning transfer to the airstrip for flight to Nairobi arriving at about 1200 hours then be transferred to your hotel.

    EASTER SURCHARGE AND CHRISTMAS SURCHARGE
    A surcharge would be charged per person per night on Good Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Easter Monday and on 24th 25th, 26th, 31st December and 1st January. THE SUPPLEMENT WOULD BE CONFIRMED AT THE TIME OF BOOKING FOR CLARITY REASONS.

    DESCRIPTION Elsa's Kopje is named after Elsa the lioness, made famous by George and Joy Adamson's biographical film "Born Free".
    Elsa's Kopje is almost invisible to the eye as you approach it's home on Mughwango Hill in Meru National Park. It blends into the rocky crags of the "kopje" (small hill), built very near to the site of George Adamson's original campsite. The cottages are the ultimate rooms-with-a-view, uniquely designed and crafted, incorporating the natural features of the rocky hillside. Each cottage has spacious double or twin beds with en-suite, elegantly appointed bathrooms. There is an open bar, lounge and dining room with an exceptionally inviting infinity pool overlooking the Meru plains.

    Elsa's Private House is a spacious, stylish, exclusive hideaway set slightly apart from the main lodge. It has 1 double room and 1 twin, both with en-suite bathrooms. There is a living and dining area, leading seamlessly outdoors into its own private swimming pool. Elsa's Honeymoon Suite is a 3 level room, with a double bed and ensuite bathroom. With it's breathtaking views, this latest addition is most definitely Elsas 'pride'!
